An iconic figural formed trade sign for a butchers shop in the form of a butchers knife. The sign, fully constructed of wood, measures 56 inches long x 10 inches tall. The one side of the knife features tin tacked lettering that reads BEEF, the other side reading PORK. The end of the sign, which terminates to the knife's handle, features a carved steers head with horns and nose ring. A fine example of an early to mid-20th century trade sign.
