This charming early 20th century Santa figure embodies the warmth and character of classic Christmas folk art. Standing with arms outstretched, the figure is constructed with a painted cloth face featuring expressive blue eyes, arched white brows, and deeply blushed cheeks, all framed by a full, curly white wool beard and mustache. The facial expression is both gentle and whimsical, capturing the enduring appeal of early Santa imagery.

The body is dressed in its original red cloth suit trimmed with faux fur, complemented by a black belt, matching trousers, and tall black boots. The figure retains strong sculptural presence, with well-proportioned form and a pleasing sense of scale that allows it to display effectively either as a stand-alone object or within a holiday vignette. The materials and construction reflect period production, with hand-finished details throughout.

Surviving examples of early cloth Santa figures in this size and with such expressive facial painting are increasingly difficult to find. This example retains a particularly engaging presence, balancing folk art charm with visual impact, making it an excellent addition to a collection of holiday memorabilia, or seasonal folk art.
