An exceptional and visually compelling late 19th century Plains fully beaded vest, and distinguished by its refined execution and bold floral composition. The vest is densely beaded on a luminous white ground and decorated throughout with vibrant multicolored floral and foliate motifs, arranged in balanced, symmetrical compositions across both the front and back panels.

Scrolling vine forms culminate in stylized blossoms rendered in rich blues, greens, reds, and yellows, while the shoulders and side edges are accented with repeating geometric triangular devices, lending strong graphic contrast to the overall design. The vest retains its original cloth interior lining and is further enhanced by a perimeter of small copper buttons, an uncommon and particularly attractive detail seldom encountered on comparable examples.

Condition is consistent with age and use, with minor bead loss and some loss to the copper buttons, yet the vest presents exceptionally well and retains strong visual integrity. Measuring approximately 21 inches across by 22 inches tall, this is a powerful and display-ready example of Plains beadwork from the late 19th century, well suited for an advanced collection of Native American art or Western material.
