A finely made pair of beaded plains Moccasins, most consistent with Lakota (Sioux) work. The uppers are covered in lazy-stitch beadwork on native-tanned hide, executed on a light “Sioux” blue ground with bold geometric motifs of red, white dark blue, yellow, and touches of green and orange. Design elements include triangular pictorial tipi forms. The cuffs are edged with blue trade cloth and retaining the original double tongues. Measuring 11 inches in overall length.
Condition: Overall very good for age, beadwork is 95% intact with minor losses. Quite presentable with strong and vibrant color and design legibility.
