A fine, circa 1870, salt-glazed stoneware pitcher attributed to William MacQuoid of Manhattan/Greenwhich Village, New York City. Few examples of MacQuoid pitchers have surfaced throughout the years, with this one being an excellent example. Featuring a cobalt floral decoration for three flowers, with cobalt around the base and shoulder of the pitcher. In excellent condition, with a stonepop to handle and lower side. No cracks. An old collection tag on bottom reading "Property of Leo Vanderbargh".
