Offered is an unusual salt glaze cobalt decorated 2 gallon eared handle stoneware jar. Strong blue bird on branch but has extra blue swabs about the bird and a blue incised 2. 12 ½”tall. Jar is in excellent condition with strong blue and only one small shallow flake to interior of rim. Have not had one like this before. 19th century.
