19th century, marked with the impressed mark of S HART / FULTON. The crock is decorated with a “2” in cobalt, notating the jars 2 gallon capacity, and decorated with a bold bird in cobalt. The jar is in excellent condition with no cracks. Measures 9 inches tall x 9.5 inch diameter. A very nice example of this iconic stoneware maker.
