A phenomenal piece of folk art! This early handmade toy has the original note inside of it dating it to 1831. The toy, handmade, is of two horse, a rider, and a carriage. The toy fits perfectly inside of hits homemade bentwood box, which might be just as compelling as the toy itself. The 19th century fox features an original orange paint with paint decoration on top. The toy has a few small areas of loss with the bentwood box being in excellent condition.
A fine example of early toy craftsmanship!
