An excellent birch burl tankard, circa 18th century, with a line handle thumb lift, carving to the top, and reclining lion feet. Wonderful burl figuring and patina. An original piece of Scandanavian history, and now a phenomenal piece of folk Art. One area of loss to one of the feet.
