A boldly formed American burl bowl, hewn from a single substantial section of highly figured timber. The broad, asymmetrical basin is flanked by integral pierced handles and displays the remarkable color, grain, and tactile surface that distinguish the best early woodenware. Both utilitarian and sculptural, it possesses extraordinary warmth and presence.
