This cased revolver has it all! Cased, Factory Engraved by Gustave Young, Great Condition, and Ivory Grips.
The revolver was manufactured in 1853, an early date of manufacturer for many Colt Pocket Models and particularly an early date for the iconic factory engraver, Gustave Young. Young immigrated to the United States in 1846, would engrave for Colt from 1852 into the mid 1860's, mentor the then-apprentice Conrad Ulrich, leave Colt, and return to run his own shop full-time. The revolver, features an octagon barrel, and retains its original ivory grips. In its original rosewood case featuring the original Colt Bullet Mold, Powder Flask, and other ornaments. In very good condition, with fully functioning hammer mechanism. A rare opportunity to own a complete, as made, factory engraved Colt 1849!
