This 19th century percussion pistol combines all an early firearms collector looks for - rarity, condition, and identification. IDd 19th century Midwestern pistols are incredibly scarce, and we are excited to present this rare piece of historic antique militaria & weaponry.

This 19th century pistol is stamped on the side of the barrel "WILLERDING" for Theodore Willerding of Evansville, Indiana. It is also stamped "EVANSVILLE / IND" with the year stamp of "1868". This post-Civil War pistol has survived in museum quality condition with no apparent defects. The octagon barrel still shows remnants of blueing, the the tiger maple handle is exceptionally relief carved checkering, and a ramrod still intact to the underside of the barrel.

This exact pistol is pictured on page 243 in the iconic book 'Indiana Gunmakers and Their Muzzle-Loading Long Rifles' by Jeffrey J. Jaeger. It is one of two IDd Indiana pistols pictured in the book.

Purchase of this rare American pistol comes with a complimentary copy of the book, and a custom made stand.

Condition: Excellent, with very minimal signs of wear and pitting to the barrel.
