Beaded Stone-Headed Club
Dimensions: Approx. 22" overall including drop

A fine early 20th century Northern Plains beaded stone-headed club, featuring a classic ribbed, conical stone head tightly fitted to a fully beaded wood haft. The shaft is decorated in alternating lanes of sky blue, yellow, and red glass seed beads, worked in lazy stitch and creating a bold, colorful presentation.

The handle terminates in a beaded drop with two wrapped and beaded quill sections, accented by tufts of red-dyed feather — a detail that adds movement and ceremonial presence. The surface shows light wear and a soft patina consistent with age, while remaining in excellent overall condition.

Clubs of this form were both functional and highly symbolic, carried as status objects by warriors and used in ceremonial contexts. This example is particularly striking for its bright, original bead colors and fine craftsmanship.
