Circa 1840, a dovetailed miniature blanket chest with an elegantly carved skirt. The chest is constructed of cherry and retains it’s original lock and hinges. In very good overall condition with no major condition issues. The chest was discovered in Tennessee, and likely has origins to Tennessee or Kentucky. An exceptional example of first half 19th century miniature or salesman sample. Key to lock does not work. The case measures 13 inches wide x 7 inches deep x 10 inches tall.
